About

Long Way Out is the memoir and psychological journey of debut author Nicole Waybright. Located in Rhode Island, we offer top level customer service on our book sales, as well as information on author speaking engagements, book signings, book tours, readings, and interviews.

Long Way Out is a woman's psychological journey, a chronicle of a young woman entering the process of individuation, a psychological process sparked by personal crisis. Although written from a woman's perspective, Long Way Out will be of interest to both men and women who are interested in therapy-related issues.

It is a woman's journey but it also provides an honest look at a young person's experience in the military. Veterans, military family members, active duty personnel, and military historians will all appreciate the detailed and raw look at Navy life that the author provides. The exhaustive 552 page text offers extensive historical detail – much of which is previously undocumented – about the first wave of women to serve on combatant ships.

Long Way Out will appeal to families of veterans as well as military families who long to understand what their loved ones have undergone in their day-to-day military lives. For veterans and military members, we feel there is much they can relate to and learn from.

The portrayal is an atypical, raw look at life in the military, free of self-glorification or glorification of the service, which we believe will be important to veterans, military members, and their families.

As well, this book is written for those with an interest in psychology, in particular Jungian psychology, psychotherapy, and therapy-type issues centering on self-help and family dynamics.
